Description Tommi Komulainen 2005-03-17 12:21:04 UTC
1. start gtk-demo / Text Widget / Multiple Views
2. select and cut (Ctrl+X) "olor" out of the large bold "Colors"
3. paste (Ctrl+V) in the middle of "a red background"
--> the font size of the pasted text matches the original, background changes to red

4. select and cut "ground" from the area with red background
5. paste in the middle of the "Cs" that was left after step 2)
--> the font size of the pasted text matches the new position, background
changes to red

Sometimes the font size changes, sometimes not.. Confusing.

The described behavior is not a bug.

It is because "ground" (step 4) is not surrounded by a font size tag. So when it is pasted in the middle of "Cs", which has a font size tag, "ground" takes the same font size as "Cs".

If you don't want this behavior, you can add font size tags everywhere, even if it's the default value.
