Description Marc Koschewski 2005-03-14 10:07:26 UTC
Distribution: Mandrakelinux release 10.2 (Cooker) for i686
Package: gtk+
Severity: enhancement
Version: GNOME2.10.0 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: Mandrakesoft
Synopsis: File selector doesn't remember window size
Bugzilla-Product: gtk+
Bugzilla-Component: GtkFileSel
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
Description:
The GTK+ file selector should remember its window size. The window size
it defaults to is way too small on the right pane when one has many
files with long names in a folder. I have to resize the dialog
_everytime_ I open some stuff from my Home folder as there reside many
items that have a 32 character hash in their names.

It's quite annoying to resize the dialog even when I want to upload 5
items vie Firefox. In case the dialog cannot remember it's window size
on a regular basis, it should at least remember it on a per 'running
application' basis so that one has not to resize it 5 times for 5 file
selections with the same instance of a running application.
