Description Markus Trippelsdorf 2005-03-13 14:50:17 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I've upgraded to Pango-1.8.1 (Gnome 2.10) yesterday.
Now the rendering of my monospace font (TheSansMono) is garbled
in Evolution. It looks like Pango cuts off the lower part of the
character "g", because the line spaceing is too tight.

Sorry, the original link does not work anymore here is the new one:
http://www.trippelsdorf.de/screen_g.png

This happens with all monotype fonts I have, but only when using certain font sizes.

It looks like you have hinting off in your font preferences, judging from
the overall level of fuziness. So, the problem is most likely a duplicate
of bug 307196. If Pango-1.8.2 doesn't fix the problem, please reopen.

Comment 3 Markus Trippelsdorf 2005-07-27 11:22:13 UTC
The update to 1.8.2 solved the problem.
Many thanks.
