After Gnome has finished starting the splash screen is still displayed on the
screen. The only way to get it to close it to click on it.

Apologies if I filed this in the wrong place but I'm not sure where the splash
screen display is handled.

This is a weel known bug, seems to be a duplicate of 116814.
