GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 168979
the volume shortcuts use the wrong mixer - add a config key
Last modified: 2005-06-10 20:08:45 UTC
gnome-keybinding-properties sets global shortcuts for multimedia keyboards. These always affect the master volume, while I prefer to use the PCM channel on the alsa mixer. There should be a "default mixer channel" preference somewhere. It could be used as the prefered mixer for a new volume applet, and audio apps that use a global mixer. So I think it should go in /desktop/gnome/peripherials/mixer/default-{element,track} (named after the applet settings).
See #173035 for a possible solution.
Thanks, moving to 173035 then. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 173035 ***
