Description Jakub Steiner 2005-02-26 09:56:38 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I have a dav:// location in my ~/.gtk-bookmarks file that is only reachable when
VPN is up. The file selector seems to query all remote locations and hangs for
tens of seconds before timeout and showing up.

This may be a gnome-vfs problem, since applications such as nautilus or panel
seem to be affected during startup as well. Feel free to reassign.

Steps to reproduce:
1. add a remote location that isn't accessible to ~/.gtk-bookmarks such as
dav://svn.suse.de/svn/
2. open the file dialog.

Actual results:
It takes cca a minute for the dialog to show up.

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?

Other information:
this is gtk 2.6.2 from ubuntu Hoary
