GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 167792
No icon for weblinks
Last modified: 2010-03-03 18:02:33 UTC
I have a .desktop file with the content: [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Encoding=UTF-8 Name=Domain Type=Link URL=http://www.domain.com/ There seems to be no specific icon for that
gnome-globe sounds like a perfect candidate for this. I'm not sure what module is responsible for assigning such icon, so I'm guessing here. Feel free to put in the appropriate one.
gnome-fs-bookmark sounds like a good candidate, too...
Can we just agree on one if this is still an issue?
Moving to gnome-icon-theme for comments.
This does sound generic and worth including in the naming spec & core themes. Rodney, what do you think?
In Ubuntu Hardy, dragging an URL to Desktop shows it with the icon gnome-fs-bookmark. That's for both firefox and epiphany. The Icon is hardcoded in the .desktop file though: [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Encoding=UTF-8 Name=Link to Google Type=Link URL=http://www.google.dk/ Icon=gnome-fs-bookmark
I think this should be marked a dup of bug #409326 actually. See comment #7 there for why.
a non-authoritative agree from me
Marking as duplicate even if this one is older as bug #409326 includes an icon attachment. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 409326 ***
