Description kdegrasse 2005-02-14 19:53:37 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable
Package: eggcups
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.8.1 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu
Synopsis: Gnome-Print Manager Crashes Selecting Epson Stylus Photo Series Driver
Bugzilla-Product: eggcups
Bugzilla-Component: session-cupsd
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.8.0)
Description:
Description of the crash:
I have an Epson Stylus Photo 785EPX printer and can't install it using
the generic
Stylus Photo Series driver
Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Add a new printer
2. If Ubutu finds the 785EPX printer intuitivley, select the Epson
driver next.
3. The Epson Sylus Photo 785EPX is not available, so choose the Stylus
Photo Series driver. The Gnome-Print manager crashes, and the print
driver installs. The printer will not print.

Expected Results: The driver will install without crashing, and the
printer will function.

How often does this happen? Each time I delete the failed printer, and
attempt to reinstall it again.
