on login as user, g-v-m 'unexpectedly quits'

Additional Information:
Updated xmms-mp3.i386 alsa-lib.i386 sound-juicer.i38 last night (1700GMT
3rd Feb) with YUM. This is only system change prior to this bug. On
first login, eggcups crashed on same terms. I rebooted to see if it was
an aberration, and eggcups repeated it's problem and g-v-m joined in.
