GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 165687
GCalcTool can't calculate 'percent' results correctly.
Last modified: 2005-01-31 16:01:55 UTC
Please describe the problem: GCalcTool can't calculate 'percent' results correctly and throws out an error message in the statusbar that the expression is incorrect. But this shouldn't happen because the same entered line can be calculated with every normal cheap table calculator. Since GCalcTool should be some kind of 'table calculator' it should behave correctly. Steps to reproduce: 1. Please enter '1530-30%' and it throws out an error in the statusbar (this is just one example). Actual results: Doesn't output the expected result. Expected results: Output correct result. Example: 1530-30% = 1071 Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: GCalcTool from CVS as well as earlier versions of it.
Section 3.2.3 of the online help describes how the percent operator works. Closing as a duplicate of bug #135140. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 135140 ***
