Description Trever Adams 2005-01-29 19:03:21 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg)
Package: planner
Severity: enhancement
Version: GNOME2.8.0 0.12
Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc
Synopsis: PERT chart functionality
Bugzilla-Product: planner
Bugzilla-Component: General
Bugzilla-Version: 0.12
Description:
Please describe your feature request:

Everybody does wht planner does, but few, at least that I have seen
and/or know how to make them do, do PERT charts, etc.

I should be able to define project points (possibly elsewhere in the
planning stuff) name them, give them time frames to be completed (the
cost, not Jan 1 - Jan 5, though the cost may auto guess at 4 days if
asked to give cost in days) and a nice chart is made.

In addition, it should show and auto-recalculate the critical path.

What would be really nice is if each part also had a cost in $ (since
the critical path for dollars is really all of the cost) and would allow
the person to look at it this way, having a highest cost items, etc.
However, this last bit may not be best in the PERT chart but in a cost
management functionality.
