Opening multiple tabs chabge the background color

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open a gnome-terminal
2. Press CTRL+MAIUSC+T quickly (or not) to open several sessions
3. One or more have inverted background colors (white on black)

Actual Results:
the background is black instead white

Expected Results:
the background remain white

How often does this happen?
always

Additional Information:
using the "reset" or "clear" command fixes the problem
