GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 165137
Epiphany stop and reload
Last modified: 2011-09-28 12:54:05 UTC
Epiphany's stop and reload buttons are seperate, but many browser's today, they are merged into one, because it usually doesn't make sense to reload while a page is loading without stopping first. It also doesn't make sense to stop loading a loaded page. Epiphany should consider merging these two buttons together, like in Firefox. While Epiphany isn't Firefox, and I'm not trying to make it Firefox, it's a useful function that conserves screen space and makes things more usable.
In Firefox, Stop and Reload are separate buttons. Besides, this behaviour could confuse users because the button could change the instant before you click it (and so reload the page, when you intended to stop it). Last but not least, a button that changes its function is a no-no from accessibility perspective. I suggest this is NOTABUG.

I would suggest that a button that does both be available when customizing the toolbar.
