Looks similar to the stack trace in bug 162638 (which has been marked as
needinfo), though I'm not sure. Could you install the debuginfo rpms for
gstreamer, gstreamer-plugins, and rythmbox from
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/debug/, get the
crash to occur again, and then paste the new stack trace into this bug report?
(See http://bugzilla.gnome.org/getting-traces.cgi for more information)

Comment 3 Elijah Newren 2005-01-22 17:16:06 UTC
That's odd--it doesn't show _any_ debugging information. Why would that happen
if you've installed the debuginfo rpms? Maybe someone else knows...
Comment 4 Christophe Fergeau 2005-02-01 16:11:24 UTC
I wouldn't be surprised if this was a bug with gstreamer alsa plug-in that was
fixed recently. Are you using gstreamer 0.8.8 and gst-plugins 0.8.7 .?
Comment 5 Marek 2005-02-01 17:48:58 UTC
Yes! I have Gstreamer 0.8.8 and gstreamer-plugins 0.8.7 from Matthew Hall's
repository (http://people.ecsc.co.uk/~matt/)
Comment 6 Elijah Newren 2005-02-02 04:52:17 UTC
Ah...that would probably explain why the debuginfo packages from fedora didn't
help; you should get debuginfo packages that match the real packages you have
installed. So in this case, does Matthew Hall's repository provide debuginfo
rpms (I tried looking around the site but couldn't find any links to any
repository or packages there)? If not, can you rebuild them from source rpm to
get them?
Comment 7 Sebastien Bacher 2005-05-05 21:58:31 UTC
no reply, bug closed. Feel free to reopen with the asked informations if that's
still an issue for you.
