Olav, usually, you'd dupe the newer bug against the older one...

Nickolay, which version of X.org and gtk+ are you using?
Comment 4 Olav Vitters 2005-01-17 23:29:14 UTC
Bastien: I do that in almost all cases except duplicate submissions. This
because the reporter sometimes adds a new comment / attachment right after
filing the bug. This is always done in the newest bug (the one seen on screen).
If the older bug had been duplicated against the newer one it became messy.
These duplicate submissions don't occur that often in Gnome. Mozilla had lots of
duplicates (when I still triaged there) and above tactic avoided a lot of
reopenings.
Comment 5 Nickolay V. Shmyrev 2005-01-18 07:59:37 UTC
Sorry for duplicates, I should never use simple interface for bugzilla with
firefox :)

My gtk is 2.6.0 from Fedora development srpm. Although that problem is very old
and I remember it with gtk 2.4.0 or probably even earlier gtk.

My X server if xorg-6.7.0 also from Fedora.

Later versions of X.org (6.8) should fix this bug, see this comment for details,
if you want to investigate the problem:
