Subject: desktop background configuration not possible anymore

Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: control-center
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.6.1 2.6.1
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: desktop background configuration not possible anymore
Bugzilla-Product: control-center
Bugzilla-Component: background
Bugzilla-Version: 2.6.1
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.6.1.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
I changed the background of my desktop using the applications menu.
First I removed the standard image and used a gradually changing
background. Then, I imported a photo and started to use it as
background. Then, I figured out that one can change the background also
clicking with the right mouse button. But by mistake I clicked on "use
predeterminded background". Since then, it is not possible to use the
normal desktop background configuration programm. It always crashes.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Try to start the desktop background configuration
2.
3.

Expected Results:
crashes inmediately

How often does this happen?
always

Could you attach your ~/.gnome2/backgrounds.xml to the bug ? That's a duplicate
of #146645 but this could be useful to fix it.
