Description celia-biz 2004-12-06 02:04:43 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg)
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.8.0 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc
Synopsis: Crash when clicking Properties on context menu of 2.4GB file
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Metadata
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.8.0)
Description:
Description of the crash:
Right-click context menu, then selecting Properties on a 2.4GB files
causes Nautilus to crash. The file type was MPEG, with extension
".MPG". This happens every time I've tried it. Other (smaller) MPEG
files allow the properties dialog to come up without crashing. The full
file name was 35 chars in length: XmasJaxKoenMomJune_1997-99_svcd.MPG.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Open Nautilus list view on a directory containing a 2.4 GB MPEG
file.
2. Select the 2.4 GB file and right click to get a context menu.
3. Click "Properties" menuitem.

Expected Results:
Nautilus crashes almost immediately.

How often does this happen?
Every time I've tried it with this file so far.

Additional Information:
1. "ls -l" listing for the file is as follows:
-rwxr--r-- 1 celia celia 2543190016 Dec 4 07:52 XmasJaxKoenMomJune_1997-99_svcd.MPG
2. I am logged in as "celia".
