Description Cam Hyde 2004-11-28 13:57:08 UTC
1) create text layer
2) select text layer in Layers dialog
3) press button to move text layer down to background layer

error dialog: **WARNING (recursed)**. Couldn't load font 'MS Sans Serif 8'
falling back to "Sans 8" aborting...

GIMP then crashes.
Comment 1 Sven Neumann 2004-11-28 19:49:47 UTC
Sorry, but that is not a crash. It's the annoying popup dialog that you must not
close. See also http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/faq.html that describes a
workaround. This problem has been taken care of in later versions of GTK+.
Closing as FIXED.
Comment 2 Raphaël Quinet 2005-01-22 09:30:40 UTC
In this case, it was a crash caused by GLib aborting. This is the same fatal
"recursed" error from Pango as described in bug #163740 and others such as bug
#112401.
