Thanks for the bug report. This appears to match the first stack trace in bug 156388, and to a lesser extent it may match the traces in bug 158683. But it's hard to tell because unfortunately that stack trace isn't very useful. Could you please install the glib2, gtk2, hal, and gnome-volume-manager debuginfo packages from http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/debug/, get the crash to occur again, and then paste the new stack trace into this bug report? Also, you say eggcups crashed, yet this is a stack trace for gnome-volume-manager. Did they both crash or something?

I don't get it. I can't seem to get this to occur anymore. I left the machine on for weekend and now the problem is gone. Is it possible that these updates fixed this (pasted from yum.log): Nov 20 06:07:22 Updated: slang.i386 1.4.9-13 Nov 20 06:07:23 Updated: slang-devel.i386 1.4.9-13 Nov 20 06:07:24 Updated: man.i386 1.5o1-7 Nov 21 05:29:39 Updated: gamin.i386 0.0.17-1.FC3 Nov 21 05:29:39 Updated: gamin-devel.i386 0.0.17-1.FC3
Oh, I forgot to answer your question. Yes, gnome-volume-manager crashed together with eggcups. I clicked the eggcups message box though...
I believe this is probably the same as bug 151307, where running a certain prelink command will fix the problem. I believe that command is automatically run overnight if you leave your machine on, or after you first boot in the morning. See also http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=140103

Yes, I think prelink in cron.daily fixed this one. This should be probably marked as a duplicate of bug #151307

I'm going to go ahead and mark as a duplicate of 160111 due to Jarkko's comment and the fact that these reports stopped coming in after the prelink update that Fedora released.
