GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 158248
authentication window has size of folder window
Last modified: 2005-03-05 11:28:00 UTC
1. Set up a ssh connection in nautilus to somewhere. 2. Set up a password protected ssh key so that when you have run ssh-add you can access the ssh connection without a password. Copy your key over and so on. 3. Have your ssh key unlocked, open a folder (A) on the ssh connection and make it a bit bigger. 4. Log out and back in. Your ssh key should be locked by now. 5. Observe how on the place of the folder (A) window the authentication window appears, prompting you to enter your password. It has the size of the folder (A) window - much too big.
I'm not sure to understand the description. What dialog is too big, the keyring/nautilus one ? could you attach a screenshot of the bug ?
The keyring/nautilus one, yes. I'm attaching a screenshot.
Created attachment 37007 [details] Screenshot of the dialog that got the size of the folder window
weird. What window manager are you using ?
Metacity.
in fact this dialog is not the keyring one. What version of nautilus/GNOME are you using ?
This is an up to date FC3 installation. GNOME version 2.8.0, nautilus 2.8.1.
That dialog lives in libgnomeui, reassigning.
