1. Start a new project.
2. Go to Project Properties.
3. Enter a date in MM/DD/YYYY.
4. Click OK.
5. Reopen Project Properties. Notice that the date field is empty.

Env: Redhat 9.0.
Note: In the Start field, unlike MrProject, there isn't a calendar widget to
select a date.

Which locale? I can't reproduce this bug.
