Description Salvador Fandiño 2004-11-06 09:32:08 UTC
when a new tab is created (Ctrl-T), the url widget should be activated because
introducing a new url is the usual thing to do.

Cheers

Yup, same here - this has been bothering me for quite a while, too, but I was
too lazy to send a feature request. :-) Focusing the URL entry box after opening
a new tab (or a new window, for that matter) would definitely be The Right Thing
to do.

Comment 3 Salvador Fandiño 2004-11-07 14:43:44 UTC
Is this bug really a duplicate of 72125?
Comment 4 Crispin Flowerday (not receiving bugmail) 2004-11-07 17:49:23 UTC
Yes, unfortunately it is :-(

What happens is that when a new (blank) tab is opened, a special page
"about:blank" is loaded, and when this has finished loading it steals focus from
the url bar.
