Description Christian 2004-10-29 02:06:36 UTC
1. Open Totem
2. Open any video file (might happen the same with an audio file)
3. Close Totem
4. Move the file that you openned to another directory or rename it
5. Open Totem
6. Quickly click on the movie tab

The error message will pop-up behind the opened menu and X stops responding.
If you have music playing in the background it will still be playing (at least
it does for rythmbox).

PS. Sorry if this is a bad bug report but it's my first one
Comment 1 Christian 2004-10-29 02:07:50 UTC
Oh sorry but the error message is the one that states that totem couldn't file
the file that you renamed or moved.

Comment 2 Ronald Bultje 2004-10-29 06:42:09 UTC
Which version and which backend (check the about box)?
Comment 3 Christian 2004-10-29 15:54:07 UTC
The backend is version 1-rc5 and the totem 0.99.19.
Also if it helps I'm running on Ubuntu 4.10 and am using the totem-xine package
(not gstreamer).

The Error that pops up is the following:
Totem could not play 'file://<location>/<filename>'.
The specified movie could not be found.
Comment 4 Bastien Nocera 2004-10-30 15:25:13 UTC
It's a bug in GTK+, not Totem.
