Description Benoît Dejean 2004-10-22 19:37:18 UTC
i think the "Devices" tab could be rewritten using libgtop for portability.
Comment 1 William Jon McCann 2004-11-17 20:05:04 UTC
I see, using the netload API?
Comment 2 Benoît Dejean 2004-11-17 22:08:51 UTC
yep. i've also added in HEAD glibtop_get_netlist(...) which retrieves all
available interfaces. It's only implemented on Linux for now.
Comment 3 Germán Poo-Caamaño 2006-04-16 05:44:27 UTC
Benoît: Which is the current status of libgtop? It is possible to get the available interfaces for other operating systems than Linux?
Comment 4 Benoît Dejean 2006-04-16 20:25:14 UTC
of course, it's its purpose !
Comment 5 Germán Poo-Caamaño 2006-09-05 15:47:47 UTC
I added a dependency of #346021, because users wouldn't like a regression here.
Comment 6 Germán Poo-Caamaño 2008-12-08 21:29:05 UTC
Added three more dependencies. Two of them (bug #563768 and bug #563765) are
regressions to be fixed in order to use libgtop, the another one it was defined previosly in nettool, but not shown in the user interface.
Comment 7 André Klapper 2021-05-25 11:27:29 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-nettool/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
