Description Martin Pitt 2004-10-20 12:19:35 UTC
When burning a previously written CD-RW, n-c-b should unomunt the device before
attempting to burn it. Burning on a mounted CD gives all kinds of trouble for us
(Ubuntu).

If I still remember correclty, the orinial n-c-b complains if the device is
still mounted. However, the user cannot unmount it in Gnome since this has the
effect that the CD is actually _ejected_. And as soon as the user inserts the CD
again, it gets mounted again automatically.

I prepared a patch for attempting to unmount the CD long ago; it has been
successfully used in Ubuntu for quite some time now. I will attach the patch to
this report.

It's already in CVS.
