This will be a tracker for tasklist and workspace switcher applet interaction
bugs.  I will start it off with dependencies for the following bugs in a minute:

 90420  Refactor how allowed actions/states on windows work
 94111  clean up has_foo_func and related macros
105665  show desktop does not update workspace switcher
115247  _NET_WM_ALLOWED_ACTIONS doesn't match allowed actions
122640  metacity allows illogical actions on e.g. minimized windows
133932  improper behavior with grouped windows
142198  "show desktop" should only minimize windows in the current workspace
144745  workspace applet can show invisible windows due to lack of update

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/metacity/-/issues/
