Description Rumman Arshad Dar 2004-10-11 06:21:23 UTC
I have gone through bugs reported earlier related to the problem that i'm
facing but they seem more complex (having various currency accounts etc.)

My assets are 1000 more than my liabilities and equity. This is being cause
because of the Net Profit/Loss being shown on the balance sheet. The P/L shown
on the P/L report is different from that being shown on the balance sheet. I've
reloaded the reports several times but they haven't starightened out.

Please let me know if this is a genuine problem with GnuCash or whether this is
due to something which i might have done wrong.

There is some discussion of what the "Net Profit/Loss" ought to be in bug#91661
and on http://www.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-devel/2003-January/008106.html .
Please refer to this discussions in order to understand what your "Net
Profit/Loss" are showing -- probably some currencies/stocks that you bought at
one price and sold at a different price.

If you still think you have encountered a program error or problem, then please
provide more detailed information such as an example account file. Also, don't
forget to tell us your exact gnucash version. And please dont put this bug in
the critical-Severity -- this is only for crashers.

Also, I think this has been fixed in CVS HEAD (although I'm not sure about the
1.8 branch)...
Comment 3 Chris Shoemaker 2006-03-27 15:03:17 UTC
Derek, we can close this, don't you think? FIXED or OBSOLETE?
Comment 4 Derek Atkins 2006-03-27 15:05:36 UTC
Yeah, it's been in NEEDINFO for a long time.. So I'm just closing it.
