GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 153996
Launching from panel causes color-inverted line on desktop
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Please describe the problem: A negative-color vertical line appears about halfway across the screen when launching an application from the panel. I'm using Gentoo and Gnome2.8.0 This problem also occurred in later versions of 2.6 Steps to reproduce: 1. Put an application launch item on the panel 2. Launch it 3. Actual results: A negative-color vertical line appears about halfway across the screen. I suspect it has something to do with the zoomrects. Expected results: No line should appear Does this happen every time? yes Other information:
I should note that this doesn't happen if you launch an item from the applications menu - only from a launcher on the panel itself. Further the line isn't permanent - dragging a window across it forces the background to redraw and it goes away. It's just, well, ugly. -robert
Probably related: http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=136938 I see this too, but my inverted line occurs along the right side of the screen and only R and G are inverted, not B.
