Description Michael Quinn 2004-09-27 04:58:37 UTC
Right-click on a file that is deep in the file system with a long path name, and
click properties. The path listed under "Location" will be ellipsized if it is
too long to fit on the window. Since the properties dialog is non-resizable,
there is no way to see the full path.

Being able to read the whole path would be useful when trying to find out the
path that a symbolic link points to.

I would expect for the dialog to either be resizable (preferable), or for the
user to be able to see more of the text by clicking and dragging to the right.

It seems that you can highlight the entire path, including the ellipses, and
copy and paste it to another window to recieve the entire path, but this is not
intuitive at all.

The properties dialog is resizeable in recent versions of nautilus. This bug has
been fixed.
