GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 153721
if the notes are hidden on logout, they should be hidden on next login
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
when i hide all notes, then log out, and in again, the notes are all shown. the notes should have the same state as on logout when i login. the first click after a login on the applet-icon does nothing, as if the action internally is 'show notes', which is already the case, the next click hides all notes as expected...
I have the exact same problem. The notes are shown on logon even if I hid them before logging out. I'm using Sticky Notes 2.8.0 on ubuntu warty (gnome-applets-2.8.0-0ubuntu3).
hmmm this should be a bug of the component stickynotes why is gnotes still here?
Reassigning. gnotes is here because noone's removed it. I've already asked to have it removed.
Confirmed on Debian Unstable. I was about to file a report: "Now when starting Gnome 2.8, sticky notes are showned. I have to click on the applet icon and click again on it to hide the notes. I configured the click to behave so. It's like Sticky notes thinks notes are hidden at startup but some code makes them visible. So when I click, the applet (re-)shows the notes and update its state so it's coherent for the next click to hide." This didn't happen With version 2.6."
This bug is a duplicate, I knew I'd seen it before. There is a patch in bug #151832 which I haven't tested. If someone wants to check it and let me know, I'll commit it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 151832 ***
