Hmm, sorry, this isn't a dup.
Comment 4 Bastien Nocera 2004-09-21 19:57:49 UTC
It's a dup of that bug instead.
We tried to load the file as an ASF playlist instead of seeing it was a video
file. Fixed now.

Where is this bug fixed, I looked at bug 153263, but does that only apply to
real player?
Comment 6 Bastien Nocera 2004-10-06 15:41:46 UTC
No, it was a bug in parsing playlists that have the same mime-types as video
files. It happened for ASF playlists/videos and Real Media playlists/videos.
Comment 7 Darius Bundrent 2004-10-06 15:51:32 UTC
OK, well I am having the wmv/asf file problems too. I guess I updated totem a
few days ago and I am using 0.99.16-1 and libxine1 1-rc6a-1. I installed with
aptitude (binary), so should I get the sources and apply the playlist patch?
Comment 8 Bastien Nocera 2004-10-06 15:57:17 UTC
Or wait for the new release soon :)
Comment 9 bugs 2004-10-06 19:41:52 UTC
I do not think these two bugs are the same issue. I have seen both issues but
am only having this issue now.
Comment 10 Bastien Nocera 2004-10-06 21:05:05 UTC
bugs@bellcore.net (you should set your name in the preferences...), reopen a bug
if you're still seeing this with 0.99.17.
