Environment:

When trying to start the GOK On-board Keyboard from either the GUI or from the
command line, you recieve the Fatal error window with the statement of:

    Sorry, GOK can't run because
    Can't initialize actions

Steps:

1. Click on Applications --> accessibility --> On-board keyboard

Note: If running from the command line within a gnome-terminal the only'
output you get is:
Bonobo accessibility support initialized
GTK accessibility Module initialized

Please see bug 152504 and bug 152086 as they are possibly related (duplicates)...

Can you please run gok --version and tell me the result?
Comment 2 Wayne DeAngelo 2004-09-14 16:35:11 UTC
Sorry I forgot the version, its 0.11.6
Comment 3 David Bolter 2004-09-14 17:08:28 UTC
Could you please try a more recent gok and see if this resolves?
Comment 4 Wayne DeAngelo 2004-09-14 17:57:52 UTC
David, so... we just performed a new jhbuild with the latest CVS head! Is there
a new version? If so what version are you at? We here do not run a new Jhbuild
everyday and also since you guys are at a code freeze and being that the date
for the offical build is Wednesday (tommorrow)I figured that there must be VERY
few drops.
Comment 5 David Bolter 2004-09-14 18:12:14 UTC
We're at 0.11.8 -- I'm not sure what is happening at the jhbuild end...
ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/gok/0.11/

Bill, any ideas?
Comment 6 bill.haneman 2004-09-15 09:36:28 UTC
GOK has been at 0.11.8 for awhile now.
This problem does NOT occur if you do not run m4 manually. It doesn't occur _at
all_ with 0.11.8, but it didn't strike with 0.11.7 unless you manually re-run m4
(I have checked and reconfirmed this).

Update, need to verify that this is fixed in GOK version 0.11.8.
