Description Alan Horkan 2004-09-14 11:36:19 UTC
I'd like to have F12 as the default keybinding for Revert in various
applications, unfortunately some people don't understand that the HIG is a set
of guidelines and will not add a keybinding not already specified by the HIG
They are insisting I file it here first.

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152538

I'd appreciate it if Revert could have the keybinding F12 by default.

It is not a key one is likely to hit by accident but it is easy enough to reach
without really looking at the keyboard as it is the last Function key.

As far as I know it is not generally associated with anything.

> As far as I know it is not generally associated with anything.

The reason for my suggesting it, is that it is associated with revert in various
applications from Adobe.

Also my request for this keybinding in gedit was rejected on the basis that it
was not in the HIG see bug 152538
it is incredibly disappointing that someone would think of the guidelines as
something so rigid and inflexible

hmm... alan, do you still think this? why not control+z?
