Description Reed Hedges 2004-09-10 16:50:03 UTC
Apologies if this is the wrong forum for a feature request; I couldn't find any
information in the Help menu, the online help, or the gnome.org web page on
where to send feature requests or general feedback.

I like the (relatively new) tabs feature in gnome-terminal; however, I often am
in a situation where I would like to reorder the tabs (e.g. by dragging with the
middle mouse button -- same as the Panel). It would also be nice to be able to
have the tabs on the bottom or sides of the window. (truly awesome ability
would be to detach tabs from one window and drop them into another
gnome-terminal window, or drop them outside of any window in order to create a
new one. ) Perhaps some of these abilities shoud be added to the underlying GTK
tab/notebook widget.

Thanks!

Reed

it would be nice to be able to detach a tab (like xchat), thus creating a new
separate gnome-terminal instance.

Dupping to 86938, which is close enough.
