Description ggowan_2000 2004-08-31 04:22:24 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable
Package: totem
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.4.1 0.99.15.1
Gnome-Distributor: GNOME.Org
Synopsis: Totem crashes on startup
Bugzilla-Product: totem
Bugzilla-Component: general
Bugzilla-Version: 0.99.15.1
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.6.1.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
I double-click on a movie file (I've tried several - seems not to be
file specific), and Totem starts up and then crashes. I see the Totem
Movie Player window appear with controls, and it says "No file" near the
bottom which I guess means it hasn't successfully loaded the file yet,
and then a window appears saying Totem unexpectedly quit. I seem to
have been having a lot of problems with Totem in the last few months. I
use debian unstable. I just did an apt-get install totem to see if that
would fix it, and it didn't.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Double-click on movie file.
2.
3.

Expected Results:

How often does this happen?
Every time.
