Description Steve Newell 2004-08-30 20:31:07 UTC
When I attempt to dock a window on a system that has multiple monitors, the
window will always dock to the main window.
Comment 1 Owen Taylor 2004-08-30 22:16:47 UTC
GTK+ doesn't really have a dock widget, so you need to be very specific
about what control in what application.
Comment 2 Steve Newell 2004-08-31 14:04:49 UTC
Sorry, I specifically am using the Win32 port of Gaim. The buddy list will not
dock on the second monitor. When the bug was reported to the gaim development
team, they indicated that it was a problem with GTK+, and that the bug should be
reported here.

See for example:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=235&atid=100235&func=detail&aid=1000787

In following that thread, it looks like this may have been fixed.

Sorry if this is a duplicate.

Comment 3 Owen Taylor 2004-08-31 14:26:53 UTC
I'm going to duplicate this on the other bug. If that fix doesn't fix
it, please get the gaim developers to provide a small standalone test
program that duplicates what their application is doing and reopen this bug.

[
The GTK+ team policy is not to hunt down applications to debug problems;
if application developers are running into a GTK+ problem, they need
to a) reproduce the bug with one of the test programs distributed with GTK+,
b) debug the GTK+ problem themself or c) provide a test case.
