Description ryan 2004-08-22 07:45:05 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.7.91 2.7.4
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: nautilus crashes when loading.
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: general
Bugzilla-Version: 2.7.4
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.7.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
nautilus crashes when gnome starts, giving an error message. If i try to
restart it, i just get the same error message.

Im not sure whether this is happening as a result of software conflicts,
or whether my playing with gconf or gok/gnopernicus has created some
problem.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. start gnome!
2.
3.

Expected Results:
no nautilus. error message.

How often does this happen?
Almost every time. If i reboot the computer it sometimes loads ok, but
if i then log out and back in, nautilus invariably crashes.

Thanks for the bug report.
Which version of gnome-vfs are you using?
Could you attach your /etc/fstab and /etc/mtab?
Could you try to run nautilus with the gconf key
'/apps/nautilus/desktop/volumes_visible' turned off?

(This looks like a duplicate of bug 120222 which was thought to be fixed with
the new volume management code)
