Description of the crash:
I attempted to start gnome-sound-recorder from the KDE menu. The
"application has crashed, do you want to submit a bug report?" window
opened immediately.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Start gnome-sound-recorder.
2. That's it! :-) :-(

Additional Information:
I've been able to open gnome-sound-recorder successfully on previous
occasions, so this may have to do with trying to run it under KDE.
I am running KDE release 3.2.1.

Can you try to run the command
gst-register
in a terminal and see if the crash is still present ?

This might be a dup of bug 138582.

I interpreted additional comment #1 as a request to run gst-register, then
attempt to rerun gnome-sound-recorder. I did so successfully, i.e.
gnome-sound-recorder will now start (even under KDE).

As far as I'm concerned, the bug can be closed...and thanks for the tip on
gst-register, which I didn't know existed! :-)
