Description Christian Rose 2004-08-14 09:03:03 UTC
Glade3 should a hyphen instead of an underscore in the special translator
credits string, i.e "translator-credits" instead of "translator_credits".

The reason is that some translation tools check that messages which have access
keys in the source also have access keys in the translation, and barf otherwise.

Obviously those tools will mistake this underscore for an access key. Please see
bug 150106 for further details.

Christian; I've poked through glade-3 and can't find any occurance of
'translator' other than in the various .po files as "Last-Translator:"

I'm marking this bug as NEEDINFO for now, since I need more of a pointer to
where this problem is.
Comment 2 Christian Rose 2004-11-15 20:56:29 UTC
Sorry, I might have been confusing glade3 with glade.
Comment 3 Damon Chaplin 2004-11-16 01:06:54 UTC
I don't think Glade3 supports the special "translator-credits" thing yet.

It is a special string using in GnomeAbout and now GtkAboutDialog that
translators are supposed to replace with their names in the po files.

See
http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/2.0/gtk/GtkAboutDialog.html#gtk-about-dialog-set-translator-credits

When Glade3 does support it, it should use "translator-credits".
