Description J.B. Nicholson 2004-07-30 00:07:13 UTC
Perhaps Rhythmbox could "double-buffer" all songs and radio stations. By this I
mean, checking out the next file/radio station and doing any appropriate
buffering before the current song ends (or current station stops playing). I
wouldn't mind continuing to hear the current radio station while the next radio
station buffers. Then when the next station or song is buffered enough, it can
play (perhaps with crossfading -- see bug 130426).

If there are any problems, there's no need to stop playing the current song or
station.

Marking all buffering-related bugs as duplicates of #172389, even though they don't all request the same behaviour. Any attempt at fixing these problems will have to address them all.
