Description Andreas J. Guelzow 2004-07-16 13:31:59 UTC
Changing printers in teh print dialog ignores all gnome-print settings
previously selected. For example papersize, margins etc. are replaced by the
default settings of the newly selected printer.

Note: This is due to the design decision that the settings in a gnome-config is
a pointer into the settings attached to a printer. So changing printers causes
the default settings for the new printer to be used.

This needs to be dealt with for 2.10

This is still not fixed in 2.12, I believe. This is severely biting me. Is there
a workaround available? I'm currently running Ubuntu 5.10 Breezy.

Removing milestone since we're way past that now anyway. Is this still not fixed?
Comment 7 Kjartan Maraas 2009-05-16 10:12:59 UTC
Moving to gtk+. I tested this again and it seems to forget everything but the number of copies still.

We're moving to gitlab! As part of this move, we are closing bugs that haven't seen activity in more than 5 years. If this issue is still imporant to you and
still relevant with GTK+ 3.22 or master, please consider creating a gitlab issue
for it.
