Description doug65536 2004-07-09 00:50:24 UTC
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: 2.2.1
Synopsis: Restart samba service, go to nautilus, go to smb://, click reload, crash
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Navigation
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.0.1)

Description:
Description of Problem:
Nautilus crashed after restarting samba service, then navigating to
smb://

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Restart samba service
2. Go to smb:// in nautilus
3. Click reload

Actual Results:
Segmentation fault

Expected Results:
List of groups (workgroups)

How often does this happen?
First time

Additional Information:
I created a directory under /usr called serverdata. Under
/usr/serverdata I created two directories (share1 and share2). I then
shared them both with read/write permissions with the GUI samba
configuration tool. I created a samba user (also with gui tool) with the
same username and password as in linux. The crash did not occur until
after I created the samba user. Before I created the samba user,
nautilus did not crash, but repeatedly prompted for username and
password when I attempted to create a folder under one of the shares.

Debugging Information:

Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus'
