Bug from the Debian BTS, still a problem in 2.6.2 :

<quote>
Modemlights does not seem to be aware of established connections. When
clicking on it, it correctly establishes a connection (by invoking pon
dsl-provider, in my case). But then it does not switch its color and
generally doesn't seem to be convinced that the connection has been
established---for when I click on it again, it invokes pon dsl-provider
all over again.

modemlights will hopefully interface with ppp settings in gnome-system-tools in
the near future.

Modemlights was rewritten for G10.
