Description Steven Van Impe 2004-06-30 08:50:28 UTC
1: Splash screen doens't automatically go away when there are programs to
restore in the session (like Gaim). Clicking the splash screen when everything
is loaded usually makes it go away.

2: I changed the splash screen image in gconf editor, and noticed that it
changed for other users as well. However, I was never ask for any password. So
is this right?

I'm using the lastest Arch Linux, Gnome version seems to be 2.6.1.

The first issue has already been reported in bug 144096.
Comment 2 Federico Mena Quintero 2004-09-02 01:35:13 UTC
That's a chain of duplicates; the base one is bug #116814.
Comment 3 Vincent Untz 2007-05-09 19:33:20 UTC
I don't see how the second problem is possible, since the change is written in your home directory, and other users don't read gconf settings there. Does it still happen?
