Description Jan Kerkhof 2004-06-25 08:38:32 UTC
Gimp 2.0 produces next error: (tried it on two different PC's, the results
were identical)

when I start the Gimp with a Wacom pen tablet (Wacom driver version 4.73-3)
connected to the computer (through an USB-port) it gives following error
messages in a DOS-box:

(gimp-2.0.exe: 120): Glib-GObject-critical **: file gobject.c: line 1320
(g_object_ref): assertion 'object -> ref_count > 0' failed

(gimp-2.0.exe: 120): Glib-GObject-critical **: file gobject.c: line 1338
(g_object_ref): assertion 'object -> unref_count > 0' failed

(gimp-2.0.exe: 120): Glib-GObject-critical **: file gobject.c: line 1338
(g_object_ref): assertion 'object -> unref_count > 0' failed

(yes, the second message appears twice)

As a result Gimp opens files, but doesn't allow any actions in the files.

When I start Gimp with the pen tablet unconnected, it operates normally.
When I start Gimp with the tablet unconnected and connect the tablet after the
startup of Gimp is completed, the program works normally and allows the pen
tablet to be used.
