GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 143372
does not restore windows to the right workspace
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
I have three windows open with a number of tabs in them, the first two on workspace 2 and the third on workspace 5. When I log out and in again (the next day) the two windows are on ws 2 and one on ws 5. But the window on ws 5 is not the right one but one of the first two. The size is also not correctly restored; the window on ws 5 was not maximized, the others were. After log out in all windows are maximized. The third window also had on-top set which is not restored, but that's probably another issue.
Created attachment 28157 [details] [review] non-fix From reading the documentation of gtk_window_set_role() I'd have guessed that it'd be what we need here, but I cannot get metacity to restore windows to different workspaces no matter what I do. Attaching the patch anyway :)
Just found the old bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 130990 ***
