Description Daniel Lublin 2004-05-24 13:07:24 UTC
I try to give the Clone tool the shortcut "K":

  1. Point at Tools->Paint tools->Clone.
  2. Press "K".
  3. The ink tool (with an underline k in the menu)
     gets chosen, and the menu is closed.

How I achive what I want?

Yes, I understand this is possibly a GNOME bug, but GIMP
is one of the very few GTK/GNOME programs I use and also
the only one in which I have wanted an unmodified key as
a shortcut.

That's a known issue and there's a bug report for it. We will most probably
solve this by introducing a shortcut editor with gimp-2.2.
