Description Stuart Cianos 2004-05-22 22:10:34 UTC
Attempt to log into various network services that require authentication...
Examples:

ftp://protectedserver.somewhere.abc
ftp://user@protectedserver.somewhere.abc

The addition of an option to have the system default to opening a
password/username dialog when authentication fails (as apposed to a "could not
connect/log on" error) would simplify the user experience when attempting to
connect to protected resources. This would be similar to Gnome's behavior when
connecting to Samba shares.
