Description Johan Andrén 2004-05-19 15:56:57 UTC
Description of Problem:
If I edit the mimetype for bash scripts to
have an application in the "open with" menu they
no longer can be run by doubleclicking them. Even
if the association is removed from the menu.

This seems to override the option "run executable
textfiles" in Nautilus preferences.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Select a script
2. Choose "open with" -> "a program"
3. click the button in the "filetypes and
programs" area
4. Add an association in the mime window that pops up
5. Change the status for the new association to,
"not in menu"
6. Doubble click the script.

Actual Results:
The script file is opened in the associated program

Expected Results:
The script to run

How often does this happen?
Always
