GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 142600
the strip characters preference doesn't strip all special characters
Last modified: 2006-12-01 10:20:36 UTC
I don't want my filenames to have any spaces or special characters in them. When I use the strip special characters option, sound juicer leaves the spaces from the filename pattern in the final file name. I want my filename to be 01_-_Track_Name.ogg not '01 - Track_Name.ogg'. The list of shell metacharacters that sound-juicer removes is also incomplete. It leaves out ['"$()`|>{}]. The single quote and parenthesis are commonly included in song titles. The rest should probably be added for completeness.

I've added the extra shell characters, but am not sure about the sanitize_path patch. A better solution may be to simply add patterns which don't have spaces in.
Ross, this seems to be a duplicate of closed bug #357111 (or vice versa).
